This is our family!

Colleen & Keith (Otherwise known as Mama & Daddy)
100_3036.jpg

Hi Above is Colleen and Keith, otherwise known as Mommy and Daddy to our brood of babies(dogs). We've lived here in Hammond for 14 years now.  All of our babies live in the house with us and sleep with us each night.  Colleen is disabled and stays home while Keith works each day. When Keith gets home each night he handles all the heavy chores. After the chores are done we all play or relax together.  Our house takes a lot of cleaning, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Our babies are our life.

Dukie
dukie.jpg

Above is Dukie.
He has a silver back with a white gold head. He is 6.5 pounds and thinks he's 500. Dukie shows no fear.  One time Dukie tried to take on a cow. Good thing there was a fence:) He used to ride in the big truck with Keith and travel all over. However, now he just wants to stay home with all his girls. He has a wonderful life with all these females to look after. He has been a daddy several times now and is pretty proud of himself. Dukie has many champions in his blood line both AKC and CKC.

Below is Kaisha
She has the standard blue back and gold head. She is 8 pounds and a real snuggler. She loves to climb under the blankets at night and curl right up to the chest. Kaisha is extremly good natured and gets along with all the dogs. Nothing seems to faze her.

Cammy

Above is Cammy. She passed away a couple of years ago due to pregnancy complications. However, she will always be a part of us. She was the full sister to Kaisha and they came from the same litter. Cammy had a blue back and gold head. She weighed 6 pounds. Cammy was a little minx and very much liked to get her own way. She was very smart and had many wonderful hiding spots. Cammy was very delicate and produced smaller pups between 4-5.5 pounds when full grown.

Below is Michelle (Shelly).
She has a blue back and gold head. She weighs  8 pounds. Michelle has a wonderful personality and loves to be brushed and cuddled. Her favorite spot to sleep is on the pillow right above my head:) She is also an escape artist. Before we put up the wood privacy fence she found many holes in the wire fencing and kept exploring. Every time we found a hole and fixed it she would find another:) Thus the new fence!!

She has a black back and a gold/silver head. She is 10 pounds and very stubborn. She is a little shy around strangers but once you get to know her you can't get rid of her. She loves to lay on our laps and give kisses. She is very playful and keeps the puppies entertained. Roxi is always up for a game of tug or keep away!

Above is Dolly. She weighs 8 pounds. Dolly is the freindliest of all our pups and always has to be in the thick of the action. She is also extremely smart. She has figured out how to jump up on the food cart so she can investigate the stove after dinner to see if there are any left overs :) She is always comming up with new tricks for us to laugh at or groan over :)

Below is Daisy May. She weighs 7 pounds. Daisy is a demanding little thing. If Momma is giving her attention to guests then she has to be holding Daisy or else. Daisy loves to play and can be seen racing through the house or yard with her toys.

She loves to pester Buster and some of the other dogs, but she is soooo cute when she does it. She loves to play and wrestle. Kimmie will never meet someone she doesn't want to have hold her.

Below is Diesel. He is only 4 pounds and is a welcome new addition to our family. He is 5 months old and will be a new daddy for us when he is old enough. He should stay in the 4 pound range and his coloring should stay fairly close to what it is right now. Diesel is a little mountain goat. He is always climbing up on something so he can be right in the thick of things.

Lady and Deisel

Above is Lady and Diesel. Lady is our 2nd oldest dog and another sheltie. She is the grandmother to all the yorkies. She loves to watch the babies play and is very patient with them except when she is eating. They all climb all over her and lay on top of her just like Diesel is doing in the picture. Lady likes to take care of the others and can bee seen cleaning them. Sometimes they line up one after the other and she cleans thier ears and such.
